BOST STRATEGIC AND PERFORMANCE ENGAGEMENT

1‘For a strategy to work, it necessarily should have the buy-in of the frontline employees’ says Robinson. BOST, realizing the need to bring staff along in the implementation of the four year strategy started the year with staff engagement across all its facilities to explain the strategy deeply and solicit the buy-in of staff for efficient achievement of set targets. The Theme for the engagement was; “Your Contribution, Our Stewardship”. Depot sponsors engaged the staff of their respective depots of stewardship whilst the Head Office was hosted at the AH Hotel in East Legon. The feedback was all positive. Addressing the gathering of the head office staff at the AH Hotel, the Managing Director, Mr. Edwin Provencal took time to explain the scorecard with practical scenarios to the understanding and appreciation of all. He assured that, when the targets are achieved in full, staff will be the ultimate beneficiaries since a healthy BOST is an assurance of their continued employment and prosperity.
He further stressed that, the essence of the event among others was to account to staff the stewardship of Management after first year of implementing the BOST 5 Year Strategic Plan.

Handbooks of the Strategy were also distributed to staff across-board to ensure the targets to be achieved are kept in view as the journey unfolds.
Staff were allowed to ask questions for further clarification.
The presentation shed further light on the outturn for the year 2020. The Managing Director praised staff for their wonderful contribution for 2020 and urged them to do even better as the company inches further towards the target of emerging as the Number One Fuel and Logistics Company in West Africa.

Elsewhere in the regions, General Managers serving as depot sponsors engaged staff on the strategy across the depots:
Kumasi Depot-Mr. Edmund Acquaah, GM, Internal Audit
Buipe Depot-Mr. Ato Amissah Wilson and Adjei Marlick
Savelugu Booster Station- Mr Nicholas Samari and Mr. Albert Mantey
Bolgatanga Depot- Miss Vivian Kally and Mr. Augustine Appiah
Accra Plains Depot – Mr. Bismark Adom Dankwah and Mrs. Harriet Amoah and
Akosombo Depot – Mr. Moses Mensah Assem and Kwabena Appiah Brobbey.

This is the way to go; everyone aboard with one accord and understanding. One step at a time, we shall achieve the BOST dream.
